The Base is closed until further notice.

Advice from the UK government changed very significantly yesterday and, following the Prime Minister’s briefing, we regret to announce that from Tuesday 17 March the gallery and Lookout Studio at The Base will close until further notice. The safety of our participants, volunteers, artists, visitors and staff members is paramount to us as we navigate these unprecedented times. We are closely following government advice and will reopen as soon as possible.

We understand you may be disappointed if you have booked to visit an exhibition or have signed up to a workshop or class during this period. We will be managing all cancellations on a rolling two week basis, and the front of house team at the Corn Exchange Newbury (which manages our bookings) will be in touch with all customers to arrange a refund. Please bear with us during this time as they have a large number of customers to contact.
