Open Studios Return to The Base this Autumn
This September over one hundred artists will come together to exhibit their work at The Base as part of the Open Studios flagship INSIGHT exhibition.
Previously held during May, this year Open Studios INSIGHT will feature at The Base from Saturday 18 September until Sunday 10 October. The exhibition offers visitors a taster to help them choose which artists’ studios to visit as part of Open Studios 2021, which takes place across West Berkshire and North Hampshire.
This exhibition will also bring the opportunity for visitors to meet a wide range of artists, designers and craftspeople and to find out more about the various mediums in which they create their work.
John Brazendale, Chair of Open Studios West Berkshire & North Hampshire, says, ‘We are moving INSIGHT 2021 to September so that we can offer the pleasure of an exhibition experience at The Base, as close as possible to normal whilst in line with government guidance. Open Studios artists will also be opening their own studios in September and quite a few will be opening their studios in late May, restrictions permitting, alongside the exhibitions at Sandham Memorial Chapel, Burghclere; John Lewis, Reading and Proteus Creation Space, Basingstoke.’
Open Studios West Berkshire and North Hampshire is a not for profit organisation, run entirely by unpaid volunteers, to celebrate the diversity of visual arts available within the local community. The Open Studios INSIGHT exhibition will be open daily at The Base Gallery between 10am and 5pm. Booking will be required but entry is free. Please keep an eye on our website over the coming months for more information.
