Spotlight on some of the practitioners we work with
We are lucky to work with many fantastic artists and makers here at The Base and we’ve been keeping an eye on what our some of our workshop practitioners are doing to stay creative and adapt their practice in these challenging times.
Textile and Paper artist, Lucy Dorothy’s paper cutting workshops have been popular additions to our programme. Lucy Dorothy has a wonderful collection of paper cutting template that are great way to get started learning the basic techniques and creating some beautiful artwork as a result. It’s a challenging time for artists, but it’s great to see practitioners teaching on online platforms and creating new fun ways to engage with craft and during lockdown. We hope this inspires you to take up a new craft and keep a look out for our practitioners workshops and courses in our future programmes.
