Clothes Swap, Don't Shop

Thursday 16th Jan 2020 — Thursday 26th Mar 2020, The Base Gallery

Did you know that fast fashion is a huge contributor to climate change as well as around 300,00 tonnes of clothing ending up in landfill each year? So why not join us for a fun sociable evening where you can swap til you drop!

Rid your wardrobe of things you no longer need, whilst finding something new you love, without causing any further impact on the planet. How does it work?

Attendees must bring a minimum of three clothing items that they no longer want and that are in a reasonable condition to 'swap', on hangers, if possible. Shoes and accessories welcome too. You will also need to bring a bag for life to take any items home with you. Any leftover items will be donated to a charity shop. We recommend taking the same number of items that you donate. Clothing can be brought with you on the night or dropped off at The Base at a pre-arranged time, a member of the team will be in touch to arrange nearer to the event date.

Duration: 7.30pm - 9pm

Suitable for ages 14+
