Join Zooniverse Designs to learn how to create and make a trinket tray with Jesmonite resin.
Using this versatile material, learn how to make your own terrazzo chips that will be cast to into a silicone mould to create your own trinket tray to take home.
Jesmonite is a non-toxic, water-based 2 part eco resin system that dries to an opaque stone like finish. It is a great, versatile material to work with and during this workshop you will learn how to create your very own pieces.
Over the course of this 4 and 1/2 hour workshop you will learn how to make a terrazzo trinket tray. Trinket trays are a great addition to any home and can be used a number of ways, for example storing jewellery or storing candles. You will make your own coloured chips in the colourway of your choosing, we will then cast your own trinket tray into a silicone mould. There will be a short break while the pieces cure.
For the second half of the session, students will sand and finish their piece to take away at the end of the course. Aprons will be provided, but the sessions can get quite messy, so older clothing would be advised. Please note although pieces set in around 30/ 40 minutes, Jesmonite can take up to 24 hours to fully cure.

There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for workshops and courses close 24 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
