Suitable for beginners and more experienced potters alike: discover the elemental nature of 'raku-firing' with resident artist Cáit Gould.
Two pots per person will be provided* and demonstration of a variety of decoration techniques. Raku-firing takes place that afternoon, meaning you can take your creations away with you on the day!
All equipment, materials, firings and glaze included.
*Bring your own bisque-fired raku pots in addition if you like.
Please remember to bring your face covering with you as visitors over the age of 11 are required to wear them in the building, unless you are exempt from wearing one. If you remove your mask to eat or drink you must put it back on straight after.
Duration: 10am - 4pm
These workshops will take place in person at The Base.
All places must be booked in advance. Booking closes 24 hours before the course start time. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
We will be limiting the number of people admitted to each event to ensure appropriate social distancing between each group.
You must only book tickets for people in your household. If you wish to come with someone who is not in your household or support bubble, they will need to book tickets in a separate transaction. In accordance with Government regulations sectors including leisure, entertainment and hospitality are now legally obliged to have a system in place to request and record contact details of their customers, visitors and staff to help break the chains of transmission of coronavirus. Anyone in your party aged 16 or over will be asked to scan the Test and Trace QR code or to record their contact details with us.
