Join us at The Base this September for a celebration of arts, crafts and artisan food and drink from local makers and creators.
Come and celebrate all things arts and crafts with us at our Festival of Arts & Crafts from Saturday 13 to Saturday 27 September featuring vibrant craft fairs, creative taster workshops and a stunning exhibition of local peoples’ art work.

All donations given on the door will go to The Base charity (1199188) to support all the work we do out in the local community and within our colourful walls!
The first weekend of the Festival will feature a lively market surrounding The Base building, along with live music from local musicians, and delicious food and drink supplied by a range of vendors, as well as our popular onsite café, run by Honesty. Get involved with spray painting workshops, dog 'paw-trait' sessions, as well as plenty of activities for families supported by our friends at Berkshire Youth.
Inside the building, browse the Festival of Art (see below), an incredible curated exhibition featuring local 2D artists' work for sale. Visitors will have the opportunity to have a go at a range of Taster Workshops (see below) from our vibrant programme of workshops and courses AND add to our gigantic Doodle Wall!
Local artists will also be celebrated as they display their work in our main Gallery throughout the Festival (Sat 13 – Sat 27 Sep), offering visitors the chance to purchase a piece of original art.

Our Runway Gallery will become a huge chalkboard doodle wall which visitors will have the opportunity to make their own mark and see it evolve throughout the Festival.
