Packaging Free Pantry

Thursday 19th Mar 2020, The Base

A distanced outside shot of The Base building. In the foreground is a round about with a monument on it. It's a sunny day.

Unfortunately, this talk is no longer taking place. Take a look at all the other workshops and classes at The Base here.

Join Lydia Benetó Turner as she shares her mission to end food packaging waste through her market pantry scheme, Lonely Lentil. Lonely Lentil is a pop-up shop selling unpackaged dry foods in Newbury/Thatcham and surrounding areas. Bring along any empty container to fill with a wide variety of nutritious staples from our market pantry. Buy only the quantities you need to save money and reduce waste. Nothing we sell is pre-packaged. Rice, pasta, pulses, nuts, dried fruits, dried herbs and spices are just a few our offerings. Our products are mostly all organic, so you can look after your body and the planet!

Duration: Talk 7.30pm - 8.30pm / Private Gallery View: 6.30pm - 7.30pm

Suitable for ages 14+. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Customers booking for the talk can also book to visit the gallery for a private view the hour prior to the talk starting for an additional £5. Talk and gallery visit must be booked in the same transaction.

Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
