“We couldn't all be cowboys, Some of us are clowns”
Adam Duritz

Mark is a Newbury based illustrator and graphic artist. He creates quirky prints in a bold and playful style built around a mixed media process – hand drawn (ink and paper) original artwork that is digitally edited and recoloured.

His work is influenced by both wry observations on modern life and nostalgia for an 80’s childhood. The focus of his work is often inanimate objects drawn with ‘personality’ and typically incorporates elements of typography and humour (sometimes hidden) with the simple aim to raise a smile.

A Newbury native, Mark studied Design at Goldsmiths’s College during which time he dreamed of becoming a ‘serious’ typographic designer. A career as a graphic designer followed, along with the slow realisation he wasn’t built to be a serious designer but instead better suited to oddball illustrations - more clown than cowboy.

You can find Mark’s work online via his website (see link above) as well as on Instagram, Dribbble & Behance. If you would like to contact him about commissioning an illustration, logo or other graphic design work please do get in touch!
