Festival of Art Exhibition 2023

We are excited to announce we are now accepting submissions for our Festival of Art Exhibition 2023 that will take place from Saturday 1 April - Sunday 16 April.

We are looking for 2D wall-based artists, working in any style or medium, to show in the Gallery space for the duration of the Festival.

The exhibition will be at the heart of our Festival of Arts and Crafts that will kick off on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April 2023 with a craft market which will surround The Base building and will be the extravaganza to kick start the festivities. In addition to the exhibition, we will also have taster workshops for visitors to get creative and have a go at learning something new whilst they are with us.

Eligibility:

- From within 40 mile radius of The Base

- Aged 18+

- Work is a 2D form

We accept 3 submissions per person. No more than 2 submissions will be successful. Please make sure your work is labelled clearly and has D rings and rope ready for hanging.

Please note: The images you submit should be your own work and the work that you are wanting to exhibit in our Gallery space. We will not accept work that has previously been submitted for exhibitions in our Gallery. There will be a 20% commission taken on any sales that are made during The Base’s Festival of Arts & Crafts.

All successful exhibitors will be notified by email no later than Friday 10 February. If you have not heard anything after this date, take this as an indication that you have been unsuccessful.

If your work is selected, you will need to be able to deliver it to The Base on Tuesday 28th March between 2pm - 5pm. The collection & wrapping date for artwork is Monday 17 April 10am -1pm.

For our inaugural 2022 Festival, the Festival of Art exhibition was such a huge success and we look forward making 2023 even bigger and better!
