A butterfly wreath made out of copper foil and wire

Learn the art of embossing onto foil with sculptor Flora Gare.

You will design your own butterfly wreath by tracing templates, scoring and cutting the foil to attach to a copper ring.

Flora is a sculptor inspired by the natural world. She uses copper wire to draw in space, making delicate sculptures and wall based pieces that contrast the line of wire with the colour and fluidity of ink.

What to expect: This is a great introduction to work working with wire. Guided by Flora, you will explore handing wire and metal foil to design your own wreath. Using templates, you will learn how to scoring, cut and emboss the foil to attached to a copper ring that will create your butterfly wreath to take home.

What to bring/wear:
All materials provided. Bring a pair of pliers if you have them to hand.
