Mosaic Garden Robin

What to expect: You will have the opportunity to create a shimmering Garden Robin, suitable for the home or garden. Learn how to cut, shape and apply mosaic tiles using the direct method. No experience necessary as help and guidance will be given on every aspect of the project including design and how to select a successful colour pallet.

There will be 1:1 and group demonstrations throughout the workshop, helping you create a beautiful robin Your mosaic will be grouted for you after the workshop (unless you choose to grout at home). Collection of grouted mosaics will be available from The Base after Mon 14 Dec.

Benefits: Learning the traditional craft of mosaics, you will learn how to cut, shape and apply mosaic tiles. These skills could then be applied to other creative projects.

Who is your tutor: Denise Jacques is an award winning artist from Farnham, Surrey. She divides her practice into three distinct areas; the artist, the tutor and the maker. Denise creates contemporary mosaics for the home and garden. Her work pushes the boundaries of traditional mosaic materials and process, whilst having a strong sense of colour, pattern and rhythm. With over 25 years experience teaching Denise runs Happy Mosaic workshops to share her passion for mosaic art.
