Explore surface and mark making using the dry materials of graphite and charcoal with Base resident artist Samantha Emmons.

Experiment with the softness of graphite powder, the dark marks of charcoal and a whole range of tones and surfaces to be created in between, inspired by the botanical landscape drawings of Kurt Jackson.

Duration: 2pm - 5pm

Includes entry to Kurt Jackson: Oak exhibition in The Base gallery.

There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for workshops and courses closes 24 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
