Perfect for absolute beginners, this one-day workshop with Naomi Ticehurst, founder of Never Without Wool gives you all the essentials to start your knitting journey with confidence.
What to expect:
In this relaxed and friendly session running from 10am to 3pm, you'll learn the foundations of knitting — from casting on your very first stitches to casting off — whilst working on a simple scarf project to take home.
With step-by-step guidance throughout the day, by the end of the session you'll be able to:
• Cast on and cast off with confidence
• Work the knit and purl stitches — the two building blocks of almost everything you'll ever make
• Read and follow a beginner-friendly pattern
You'll leave with a handmade scarf in progress and all the skills and knowledge to keep going at home. Even if you don't quite finish on the day, you'll have made a great start — and you'll know exactly what you're doing when you pick it up again!
