Kicking off the holiday in style, children aged 7 - 12 are invited to join Gemma Kirby on Saturday 21 October. First they'll visit our Gallery together and using our Autumn exhibition as inspiration, will then create a portrait using a variety of mixed media and world craft influences.
Our popular Half Term Art Club is back this October holiday, and artist Gemma Kirby is ready and raring to get those creative cogs turning! Running from Monday 23 to Thursday 26 October, each session will have a different theme and your child will get to experiment with different art techniques - and even better, we clean it all up afterwards and you get 2 hours to yourself!
Join us for a special evening with Chinwe Russell, the artist behind the exhibition 20 Historical Women Who Changed the World, on Thursday 26 October. Perfect for students studying art at GCSE or Higher Education, you'll explore the exhibition and gain a fascinating insight into Chinwe's creative process.
Join printmaker Charlotte Adcock in this spooktacular workshop on Saturday 28 October. Children aged 7 - 12 years (accompanied by an adult) will get to create Halloween inspired prints - they could even be turned into decorations for your home!
Get ready for trick or treating and design and print your own unique Halloween t-shirt on Sunday 29 October. Open to children aged 6 - 15 years (under-10s must be accompanied by an adult), Berkshire Printmakers will teach them how to make paper stencils, experiment with inks and get to grips with a squeegee.
And of course, our autumn exhibition 20 Historical Women Who Changed the World is open Wednesday to Sunday (until 19 Nov) and under-18s enter for FREE! Inspire the next generation with images and tales of these extraordinary women who have changed our world - a trip out that is both educational and inspiring!
“This collection represents the strength of women in all different sectors and each woman today can find something in this collection to identify with. I welcome all families to see and inspire their children with this collection.”
